PASTOR JASON AND TRACY HINSDALE
Hi! We’re Pastor Jason and Tracy Hinsdale, and we’re excited to be a part of the ministry here at Marysville Baptist Church.
I grew up on Grand Manan Island and Tracy in Moncton. We both came to a saving faith in Jesus at an early age, and have been serving him ever since. I was in high school when God called me to full-time ministry, and he led me to attend Kingswood University to study for it. It was there that Tracy and I met and married. In May 2001, I graduated from there with a BA in Religious Studies (Pastoral Ministry) and Tracy with a BA in Christian Education. I received my Master of Divinity Degree from Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, NS, in 2004. Since my ordination in October 2005, we have pastored churches in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
The heart of our ministry is to help equip our church family to provide relevant ministry in today’s world. Whether young or young at heart, single, married or divorced, with children at home or not, our desire is that all experience a vibrant, life-changing relationship with Jesus.
It is our desire that, as the members of Marysville Baptist Church, we all be involved in the life of our community. We hope that by reaching out to the City of Fredericton and beyond, showing the love of Jesus, we can help meet the physical and spiritual needs of those around us. We desire to regularly share what Jesus Christ is doing in our lives wherever we are, be it at school, in the workplace, at the hockey arena, at a family gathering, or simply hanging out with friends.
We would love to have the opportunity to connect with you. If you don’t find us at the church office, you will likely find us in the community. Don’t be surprised if you find me at my ‘second office,’ socializing at one of the local coffee shops. If you do, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself. Both of us look forward to meeting and working with you.
FAMILY MINISTRY COORDINATOR
Hi. I am Debbie Dow, Family Ministry Coordinator here at Marysville Baptist Church. I am a lifelong resident of Fredericton having grown up in Devon. I attended elementary and junior high school in Devon and graduated from Fredericton High School. I was an active member of St. John Ambulance, holding the title of Serving Sister. I was employed for over thirty-five years at the Victoria Public Hospital and later moved to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital upon its completion.
I am married to my husband, Beverly Dow, who is also active at Marysville Baptist Church. We have one son, David, who also finds himself busy here at Marysville Baptist Church.
My greatest enjoyment in this position is working with children, youth, and their families. Looking for new ways of doing things, whether that be through reading or educational opportunities, is always high in my priorities.
I am have completed the Youth Leadership Training Course through our Convention office. It is my earnest passion and with consistent prayer that I hope to equip our youth in a personal relationship with Jesus and in a broader scope to reach our city for Jesus.
BUILDING SUPERVISOR / CUSTODIAN
My name is Alex MacPherson. I am a long-time member of Marysville Baptist Church. I live in Marysville and have for most of my life! I play guitar and sing in the worship team every Sunday alongside my brother Mackenzie, cousin Ashley, and other friends I’ve made through the worship ministry. In the past, I have helped with children’s church and the Pioneer Girls programs. I’m currently attending the University of New Brunswick with the plan of graduating in October 2019 with my Bachelor of Applied Arts degree, as well as a Diploma in Graphic Design from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in April 2020. For the past seven summers I have worked at Green Hill Lake Camp in several positions. I have also worked as an assistant baker at I’m Here and I’m Hungry Baked Goods for the past couple of years while I’ve been in school. I’m excited to work at our church as the Building Supervisor as I have a lot of experience in the cleaning of large facilities, and I’m really glad that I can be more involved with the ministry at MBC!
