(Congregational and Community Care, Administration Oversight)

Hi! We’re Pastor Jason and Tracy Hinsdale, and we’re excited to be a part of the ministry here at Marysville Baptist Church.

I grew up on Grand Manan Island and Tracy in Moncton. We both came to a saving faith in Jesus at an early age, and have been serving him ever since. I was in high school when God called me to full-time ministry, and he led me to attend Kingswood University to study for it. It was there that Tracy and I met and married.  In May 2001, I graduated from there with a BA in Religious Studies (Pastoral Ministry) and Tracy with a BA in Christian Education. I received my Master of Divinity Degree from Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, NS, in 2004.  Since my ordination in October 2005, we have pastored churches in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

The heart of our ministry is to help equip our church family to provide relevant ministry in today’s world.  Whether young or young at heart, single, married or divorced, with children at home or not, our desire is that all experience a vibrant, life-changing relationship with Jesus.

It is our desire that, as the members of Marysville Baptist Church, we all be involved in the life of our community. We hope that by reaching out to the City of Fredericton and beyond, showing the love of Jesus, we can help meet the physical and spiritual needs of those around us. We desire to regularly share what Jesus Christ is doing in our lives wherever we are, be it at school, in the workplace, at the hockey arena, at a family gathering, or simply hanging out with friends.

We would love to have the opportunity to connect with you.  If you don’t find us at the church office, you will likely find us in the community.  Don’t be surprised if you find me at my ‘second office,’ socializing at one of the local coffee shops.  If you do, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself.  Both of us look forward to meeting and working with you.

Hi, I’m Pastor Joel Flores and together with my wife Charlotte and our 3 boys: Elias, Isaac, and Emmett, we want you to know how much we love and care about you! Marysville is where we reside and we care deeply about the people in our community!

Our family has a powerful testimony of trust and faith when it comes to following the Lord’s lead. The very reason we are here is that we “left all we knew” and followed God’s call in our lives, as a family. We believe that He has planted us at MBC for this very season!
A little about me. I’m from the US (a native New Englander) and I married a beautiful New Brunswick girl, whom I met back in ‘98 at the University of Connecticut, in 2002. We started our family in the Atlanta-Metro area of Georgia where we served in dynamic church settings. There I had the opportunity to lead large, multi-talented worship teams. We both served faithfully with our small groups, as greeters and with youth. During this same time, I was a school teacher; obtained my Master of Education, and have a combined 15 years of experience teaching and coaching middle and high school students (Christian and non-Christian school systems).
Around 2009, we began to wrestle with a call from the Lord to leave behind the life we knew in order to better and more obediently serve God in the way He wanted. In 2010-2011, we moved to Sydney, Australia, and lived and studied at Hillsong International Leadership College (with Hillsong Church). There I received a degree in Church Leadership & Worship Ministry.
Having returned to the States, we settled in Phoenix, AZ where I served as worship pastor at a dynamic church. We loved the people and our community, but one thing was missing – family! Being that my Charlotte is from this area, her mother, father, an uncle and several cousins lived here and we decided that this would be a great place to raise our young boys, but also, we strongly felt a prompting from God that He had some significant work for us to do here!
For the past 5 years, I have had the joy of being the General Manger and regular radio on-air personality for The Joy FM Network (96.5 Joy FM). I have experienced many setbacks, but the clear vision God gave me and our team for a unified, kingdom church culture that reaches every part of our city has seen this station go from a place of difficulty to a thriving, stable, and growing ministry. In my time, God has used my gifts to help create two important aspects of the JOY ministry: Joy Cares Mission (our outreach to the community) and JOY MEDIA (our visual media division).
My passion is for people to know the tangible love of Christ. To know that we are “Saved and Called” for His purposes and that I want YOU to know that there is no one like you! God has a purpose for your life. “What’s in your Hand” that you can serve God with? Is it a love for people, hospitality, ability to sing or play music, a gift in technology, love for numbers, do you teach, organize, or coach? There are so many ways we are designed to be kingdom builders – to be “active participants” in the Great CO-Mission – and I’d love the opportunity to walk alongside you, your children and your family as we discover all that God has purposed us to do! 2 Timothy 1:8–9.
Being faithful to God’s leading has led our family on the journey that has now brought us, eagerly, to Marysville Baptist Church!
You’ll often find me coaching CAMFA football. Catching a movie. Checking out a restaurant or just socializing around town with many friends and partners I have made over the years. If you see me, please say hello!
We look forward to serving you AND serving alongside you in the days to come!
As I am custom to saying “The Best is Yet to Come”!

Administrative Director: Children & Youth

Hi. I am Debbie Dow, Family Ministry Support Coordinator here at Marysville Baptist Church. I am a lifelong resident of Fredericton having grown up in Devon. I attended elementary and junior high school in Devon and graduated from Fredericton High School. I was an active member of St. John Ambulance, holding the title of Serving Sister. I was employed for over thirty-five years at the Victoria Public Hospital and later moved to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital upon its completion.

I am married to my husband, Beverly Dow, who is also active at MBC. We have one son, David, who also finds himself busy here at Marysville Baptist.

My greatest enjoyment in this position is working with children, youth, and their families. Looking for new ways of doing things, whether that be through reading or educational opportunities, is always high in my priorities.

I am have completed the Youth Leadership Training Course through our Convention office. It is my earnest passion and with consistent prayer that I hope to equip our youth in a personal relationship with Jesus and in a broader scope to reach our city for Jesus.
